Shaykh Farhan Siddiqi

Shaykh Farhan was born and raised in the US. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a BSc in General Biology. He then completed a BA in Arabic language and a BA from the College of Dawah, specializing in Quranic and Prophetic Studies at Umm ul-Qura University, Makkah. 

He’s working on his MA in Hadeeth and it’s related sciences. He currently serves as an Imam and Director of Religious Affairs at MCNJ and is an ADP Instructor at FKAD Institute.

Shaykh Zakareeya Baksh

Shaykh Zakareeya Baksh was raised in NY. He has completed his memorization of the Quran with Ijazahs, as well many classical Arabic texts. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Islamic Studies from the Islamic Online University. Currently, he is completing his Masters Degree in Islamic Studies. He currently serves as an Islamic Studies and Arabic teacher at The Wellspring Schools, an instructor at the FKAD Institute, as well as a regular Khateeb for Masjid Eesa ibn Maryam.

Shaykh Shakiel Humayun

Shaykh Shakiel Humayun was born and raised in New York City. He graduated from Baruch College with a BBA in Business Administration. He then completed post-graduate studies at the Umm-ul-Qura University in Makkah al-Mukarramah receiving an Associate’s Degree with honors. He continued his studies at the College of Shariah at Umm-ul-Qura University. During his stay in Makkah, he had the opportunity to benefit from many scholars. By profession, he is an entrepreneur. Ustadh Kareem Hassan

Ustadh Kareem Hassan was born and raised in New York City, and currently resides in Long Island, New York. He graduated from St. John’s University with a Doctorates Degree in Pharmacy in 2011. He began his formal Islamic studies at the FKAD Institute in 2010 with the launch of the Associate’s Degree Program in Arabic and Islamic Studies. After 5 years of continuous study, Ustadh Kareem graduated FKAD Institute's ADP program with high honors in both Arabic and Islamic Studies. Currently, he is completing his Master's Degree in Islamic Studies at the accredited Islamic Online University. 

Ustadh Kareem is a curriculum developer and lead instructor for FKAD Institute as well as a khateeb and lecturer throughout the NYC Metro area. In addition, Ustadh Kareem has a passion for community development and is a Director of Expansion at NYC Muslim Center. He is also a co-founder of The Hatebusters, a National Anti Islam-Hate Campaign.

Ustadh Zakir Choudhury

Ustadh Zakir Choudhury was born and raised in New York City, and currently resides in Queens, New York. He graduated from St. John’s University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, majoring and graduating as a Physician Assistant. He began his formal Islamic studies at FKAD Institute in 2010 with the launch of the Associate’s Degree Program in Arabic and Islamic Studies. After 5 years of continuous study, Ustadh Zakir graduated the ADP program with high honors. Currently, he is a lead instructor for ADP, where he specializes in Aqeedah and Quranic Studies as well as a curriculum developer for FKAD’s Beginners Arabic Program, and a lecturer at Masjid 'Eesa ibn Maryam. Ustadh Zakir also currently practices as a Physician Assistant and specializes in interventional orthopedic spine care.

Shaykh Mohamad Baajour

Shaykh Baajour studied Aqeedah with Shaykh Omar Abdulkafi, Fiqh with Shaykh Muhammad Hassan, and Tajweed with Shaykh Muhammad Issam Al-Qudat in Sharjah. He was the Director of Religious Affairs for 15 years at Masjid Dar-ul-Quran in Bayshore, Long Island, NY, one of the largest Masjid’s in NY. As a Religious Director, Shaykh Baajour was not only responsible for the Tarbiyyah (Education) of his community, but also motivated the youth to become leaders. Shaykh Baajour has extensive experience in both Community and Youth development by building bridges with people of all faiths through outreach. He currently resides in East Plano, Texas and is Director of Community Development at the East Plano Islamic Center.

Shaykh Azam Riaz (rahimahullah)

Shaykh Azam Riaz was born and raised in the US.  He memorized the Quran by the age of thirteen.  He has been leading Taraweeh prayers in various masajids and musallahs across New Jersey for the past twenty years.   He graduated from Saint Peter’s College with dual Bachelors Degrees in Biology and Business Management with a minor in Chemistry.  He then completed an MBA in Global Management at Fairleigh Dickinson University.  He is a member of the Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA) Association and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He has been continuing his Islamic studies under various scholars in the Tri-State area and the Foundation for Knowledge and Development.  He has been active in the field of dawah, lecturing, and teaching at the FKAD Institute. He passed away in June 2020 - may Allah have mercy on him.

Shaykh Mohammad Elshinawy

Shaykh Mohammad Elshinawy is a dedicated student of knowledge from Brooklyn, New York. Having gravitated towards the studies of Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, and Aqeedah, and being fluent in both Arabic and English, he has used his oratory skills to teach Islam to the community, thereby becoming one of the most prominent callers to Islam in New York City. He is a translator for Mishkah University, in charge of the Dawah department for Muslims Giving Back, and is the translator at the annual AMJA conference. 

Ustadh Samuel Anandan

Ustadh Samuel Anandan grew up in Staten Island, NY. After attending college and post-graduate studies at Stony Brook University, he resides in Queens and works in Long Island, NY. Ustadh Samuel began his formal Islamic studies through FKAD Institute, obtaining the ADP degree in Islamic Studies in 2015. Afterward, he completed FKAD's Arabic 360 course under the instruction of Shaykh Zakareeya Baksh. Currently, he teaches Arabic for ADP, organizes FKAD Institute revert program, and hopes to play a larger role in this diverse and vibrant Muslim community.

Shaykh Tahir Khwaja

Dr. Tahir Khwaja is a founding member of the FKAD Institute who began by teaching the Beginner Arabic series. He conducts the FKAD Institute's seminars on Islam and science. Born in the UK and raised in New York City, Dr. Khwaja completed all his studies locally. Dr. Khwaja is board certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry which he completed at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and Virginia Commonwealth -Medical College of Virginia. His practice interests include integrative and holistic medicine.

Ustadh Rifat Islam

Ustadh Rifat Islam is a graduate from the Associate's Degree Program at FKAD Institute. He currently teaches Arabic course for Associate's Degree Program at the institute.
